Collaboration can begin with a formulation question, a search for suitable customers or a business connection. Across allveg and our founding partners, these starting points have developed into ingredient use, new product partnerships and commercial production.
Connecting formulation needs with Senyo ingredients
Through connections made by allveg, customers have used Senyo ingredients in development and production, including private-label products in commercial production.
One customer used Senyo’s yeast extract in the production of four sauces spanning Chinese, Korean and Western styles. The aim was to enhance umami and preserve as much of the sauces’ flavour as possible through high-temperature, high-pressure sterilisation.
Another customer used one Senyo ingredient in a filling already in commercial production, to enhance umami and build a fuller, more layered savoury flavour. The formulation already included a plant-based umami seasoning; the customer wanted to retain that savouriness while introducing a different flavour profile. The same customer also used two Senyo ingredients to develop flavour in a sauce during trial production.
Finding downstream partners for plant-based products
A brand specialising in plant-based butter needed to find suitable customers for its product. Through Dasumen, it found its first downstream customers: studios, brands and manufacturers working in plant-based baking.
In another case, allveg introduced a soy milk manufacturer with its own brand to a vegetarian supply-chain service provider in Fujian. The two businesses went on to collaborate on the launch of soy milk products.
From a business connection to commercial production
A brand focused on organic living needed several tonnes of mooncake filling produced. allveg connected the brand with Seleglu, where the filling went into commercial production and the production run was completed.
The starting point was different in each case, but each connected a specific need with an existing capability. For AllvegHub, this is the practical basis of coordination: understanding the need, recognising relevant capabilities and exploring a useful next step with the people involved.
